Well, I definitely can’t say that I am the most hardcore Heat fan there is; that honor would have to go to my brother, Jason. Personally, I cannot stand to see them lose. This is the type of thing that ruins my day. If the Heat lose, that means that I can’t watch Sportscenter the next day, and I have to avoid the newspaper and all kinds of other media. But when they win, I can’t watch the highlights enough. So anyways, in case you have been clinically dead for the past week, I have to remind you that the Miami Heat have beaten the Dallas Mavericks to win the NBA Championship.
Now, there was a lot of crying and complaining from the Dallas fans, including Mr. Cuban, but there is no way anyone can argue the results of the deciding game 6. The Heat came to Dallas, fought the rabid crowd, overcame the Mavericks anger and determination from the last game (they were ahead by double figures twice), and earned their first title. You could just see it in the Heat players; they wanted it more; they could feel it; the opportunity was not going to slip away from them. The result was a fantastic game with the Heat emerging victorious.
Personally, I was extremely happy for all the Heat players, but especially for Alonzo Mourning and Gary Payton. Those two old fogies deserved the rings. Mourning should have had an honorary one just for surviving as long as he has. Then, Payton, being about 83 years old, has finally gotten the monkey of his back. Regardless, they are now both champions. Now that I think about it, this Miami Heat team may have featured at least 4 hall of fame players, although all but 1 would have been past their prime… but still, that was a heck of a roster. I say bad joojoo unto those who doubted Rile’s moves over the off season! And damn you Marc Stein! You suck! haha…
Alright, that’s enough of that rant. So, go Heat! You are number one in the world baby!
Fine, no one else commented on this… So I will!!! GO HEAT!
good job,..!
