Well, I have been quite the busy little bee as of late. Last week I had to debate whether Turkey should be allowed to join the European Union. I am actually for them joining, but pretty much everyone else in my class seemed to be against the idea. In my opinion, there would not only be economic benefits, but the diplomatic advantages of having a middle eastern powerhouse like Turkey in your corner would be limitless. Anyways, feel free to shoot that down in the comments, and maybe we could discuss that further.
Next on my list of crap that I am not sure that I want to be doing was final exams. After a grueling weekend of studying finance and accounting (for those of you not in the know, accounting is probably the most evil subject in the world; accountants actually are higher ranking in hell than lawyers…), I finally took my exams this past Monday and Wednesday. I am just glad to have them out the way and it is now time to… start preparing for next semesters finals…
On a more fun note, I am just finishing up a redesign of my website and it should be launching very soon now. I just am putting some finishing touches on it. It is originally based off of the 5thirtyone v2 design, but I will talk about it more in another post once the site is launched. So start getting pumped up!
I think Turkey lacks the ability and commitment to achieve european standards of human rights, but what do I know, I’m just a geochronologist
