My cup overfloweth…

Well, I have to apologize to my 8 readers, because I have not been able to write very much as of late. School has really been kicking my ass. On top of that, I am leaving for Texas this weekend, so I have to get a whole bunch of assignments done ahead of time because I will be missing a couple of days. Needless to say, I will have trouble posting in the next few days, but hopefully I will get to post once or twice before I leave… tomorrow… Alrighty, it is time to get back to work now…

The album My Cup Runneth Over holds less general appeal because it leans toward the traditional pop instead of the 1960s adult contemporary end of the spectrum 350-001. Most of the songs are from the stage and screen, with sophisticated melodies and excursions into continental pop. The arrangements, by nearly half a dozen conductors, are elaborate orchestral constructions that in some cases sound like they could have been made 20 years earlier 640-802. “There’s a Time for Everything” swings in the Vegas style, and several tunes are very well known, but there is no guarantee that enthusiasts of “My Cup Runneth Over” will find the rest of the album to their liking to 70-620. ~ Greg Adams, All Music Guide
