So it was about time for a new template. My V2 theme from Derek was great, but as far as practicality goes, the theme wasn’t exactly optimal. It just wasn’t the most intuitive design. However, design wise, it was cutting edge and very attractive. It had a ton of great ajaxy features (and I highly recommend it), but it was just time for me to make a change. The new theme here is Glossy Blue and it comes from N.Design Studio.
I love the functionality of this theme. It has great features like sidebar widgets and an easy to navigate design. Speaking of the design, I really love the look of it and will be slowly implementing my own custom graphics changes over time, but only a few of them. And the change has also been relatively pain free. As soon as I activated it, almost everything I wanted was set up. I only needed to activate a few plugins that I like, and that was it!
The next task for me will be to go through my own archives and get rid of irrelevant stuff. Also, I need to start consolidating my tags and categories, because I kinda went nuts when I first found out what those were and I tagged many things with inappropriate tags. Either way, some great changes are coming and I hope everyone will find this new site easier to use and find great content… If i have any…
Great job with the new theme! You really did well with the customization. I’m still looking for a new theme for my blog, I feel that it’s time for me to change the current one.
I actually almost went with the theme that you use (Not So Fresh). I think its pretty darn nice, but I understand that feeling when you just need a new look. Good luck!
