well to be honest...you don't want a zune. all in all it's an enormous hassle. first, there has been the occasional issue of receiving a zune with stuff already on it, not usually a problem except for the little fact that each zune is registered to a computer....and nigh impossible to re-register onto another (for an iPod you wipe it clean and it's good to go). seconds, if you do get a brand new fangled working one...you have to register. now i know for the iTunes store you have to register, but if you plug an iPod in, there's no need to ever even go into the store...zune is a different story. then, once you do get in the store you can't just buy a song, you have to buy MS Zune points or whatever the hell it is they're calling it, similar to X-Box live content.

as if all this weren't enough include zune software install issues (though to be fair when i tried it out it installed just fine...then again i didn't force a zune onto my alienware, no means no), buggy software when installed, and of the all aighty ollor (sorry simpsons quote, nothing against MS i just love quoting the simpsons and that popped into my head).

in all, it's just too much of a hassle. now if apple would take the iPhone rip out the phone part and stick in a bigger hard drive (20-30gb), leaving the stripped down version of OSX in there and the ability to install software, and i'm in MP3 player heaven...till then my 5th gen ipod will suffice. i've got enough headaches (and bills) as it is.
