2 Free Website Header PNG’s
Post Info Thursday, April 12th, 2007 6:04 pm by J David Print Print this page Share This

Have I got a treat for you! I have created two website headers that you can use, if you so desire. And unlike most designers, I did these in Fireworks, so they are happy-go-lucky png’s (I am not sure if I am a rogue or just behind the times when it comes to Fireworks…). Just right click on the Screen Shots and save the linked png file. The first is a thick header with muted colors and it was inspired by the Zitrusfrisch site. I really like this thick look and the trendy text balloon.

This next banner utilizes what I like to call the “Flag Effect” and I saw it at Ahead Enterprise. It is kinda like a flag hung from the ceiling and to me, it looks best when used on a fairly simple page. In my example, I put the flag on a white background and just had it overlap an image. The menu is also very clean and simple. In fact, I almost went with something like this for my redesign, but I tend to change my mind very often…

Eventually, I will be turning these into full blown website templates available for download. But for now, I hope you like the header images!

Awesome job on using Fireworks! I love using Fireworks, ut you can create cooler things in Photoshop :P. Anyways, the headers look awesome! Nicely done.

Thanks Sean. For some reason, I never started out using Photoshop, and now it just intimidates the hell out of me…

Yeah I’m just like you “J David” i also started out on fireworks ported over to photoshop for a month or two for my coursework a couple of years back. Now it intimidates the hell out of me too, i guess I’ll just stick to fireworks. Good work on the headers & tutorials, keep them coming.
