I have decided to partake in the Community Blog Project put forth by The Paperbull. The idea is to simply find a blog (he suggests one that you didn’t know about before) and just promote that site in one of your posts. It really doesn’t matter what length or format you have chosen, so long as you are sincere about your post. Well, here is my entry about ChiGarden:

What more can I say about the design of this site. The colors are extremely pleasant and the graphics are just so well done. The logo is large and noticeable, but it does not steal focus from the rest of the page. Her logo also has this kind of zen appeal, which is great. Moving to the menu area, it really reminds me of a floating land mass in the sky, like something out of the Gorillaz “Feel Good, Inc.” music video. It is not colorful, but it fits in beautifully with the rest of the page. The details in the edges really make a huge difference.
Finally, I would like to say that I wasn’t really sure what the dangling orbs were supposed to represent, but they definitely worked! And I haven’t even begun talking about her actual art work, which is probably the best part of her design ability. She is an amazing artist, and it seems like her style is partially Japanese. I can’t really begin to describe her work, so instead I would just insist that you go check out her stuff. You can also find some more design/art related things in her section devoted to projects.
I know that I am the furthest thing from some cool street guy, but I really want to say that this girl keeps it real! She wrote a post critiquing the Reboot website, and she absolutely blasted them. And man did they deserve it! But anyways, she writes with a passion and expresses herself really well. The next article that I found that I really liked was about MySpace. In fact, it was an article after my own heart. Starting with what will be at least a 3 part series, Teresa begins breaking down and then helping you build back up a better MySpace profile. The series is called Breaking Down MySpace and is well worth a read. The last post I want to mention is the one that includes my favorite photos. It is just a bunch of her Trip Photos and I am torn whether I like the Coi or the Spidey pics more (the Spidey ones are very reminiscent of my Godzilla in Japan pics).
Well, that was fun! I just want to thank The Paperbull and Teresa from ChiGarden!
Any chance I am unknown enough to be promoted in one of your posts as well?
I will definitely think about it!
