I recently wrote a post that featured 8 great online tools for website evaluation. They varied in their scope and I hope you enjoyed them. However, these were not all of the tools out there and in the comments Carl pointed out a few more to me. I thought I should make another list and include Carl’s suggestions and a few more new resources that I found.
The Resources
URL Trends: This site gives you some basic data about your site, but it also gives you an idea of how you are doing relative to others in search engine popularity.
CrazyEgg: This site gives you a clear idea of where all of your users are clicking and it can greatly help optimize your site. It provides a heat map and at the very least is just plain fun to look at.
Firestats: This is a web statistics system. The version I tried out was for Wordpress and it simply a plugin. It spews out all sorts of counter, browser and various other stats.
Feedburber Stats: FeedBurner Stats is a plugin which gives you FeedBurner Stats without redirecting your users to the FeedBurner feeds. So, you keep your subscribers on your site but still get the stats.
- Truwex Website Accessibility Check: Truwex manages website compliance with web accessibility, online privacy, quality standards. Truwex is a web governance and testing solution in one product.
Great list of tools. Nice blog you have, as well.
Thanks Nate! I have been a huge fan of yours for a while now as well!
Hey, thanks for the plug man
I think best tool is Google Analytics to monitor whole website about anything.
