I have finally done it! For a long time now, I have been meaning to take my “Deliciously Blue” XHTML template and convert it into a Wordpress theme. Not only was it my favorite template, but it has had well over 20,000 downloads, so some other people must have liked it as well. So at long last, I have made a Deliciously Blue Wordpress theme. I chose to use the theme framework from the Glossy Blue theme which was made by N. Design Studio. It is incredibly extensible and has ton’s of great built in usability.
Features:
- Built in Recent Comments
- Built in style for Top Commentators (just download and activate; no coding necessary)
- Supports Wordpress widgets
- A print stylesheet
Instructions:
- Unzip the file locally (like into your Documents).
- Upload the “deliciously_blue” directory (the whole folder) into the themes directory of your site [/wp-content/themes/]
- Activate and smile
Download the Deliciously Blue Theme now! Believe me when I tell you that you won’t regret it!

Well, all of those themes are built on the same basic template. Deliciously Blue just look the most different.
That’s one fine looking Wordpress theme you got there! Great job man! I’ll definitely feature this theme ASAP!
Btw, just a suggestion. Maybe you could provide a preview page for your themes so we can check it out before downloading.

I like the theme and have installed it. The post column is pretty narrow. Is it possible to make it wider?

@Garth - Just like with most themes, I’m sure you can by editing the code in the style sheet.
Thanks Jaypee. So Garth, you would have to look at the stylesheet, like he said, and make it wider. Keep in mind that you would also have to make the whole content wrapper wider too. Otherwise, the numbers wouldn’t add up.

hey david i was wondering if it was possible for you to update the theme to allow a custom header option that would sit behind the text at the top and the about me home icons… or if anyonw knows how to code how to do that, i loveeee this setup but i would really like to put a header image.
j, I love this template! Seriously the best one for Wordpress around! My only problem (knowing just super basics to attempt style sheet hack) I can’t get your cool icons to show up. I figured that i needed to add the host server file location for the wordpress template icon imagesm and cut and past into the style sheet code where there were “url” entries. Just a dumb guess, but didnt work. Can you help me fix blog.ideacity.com? Thanks!
