In Latin, Renovatio means a renewal or renovation. This is an apt term to describe what I am attempting to do here at J David macor.com. In many ways, this site has lost its focus. In part, because I have had a lot on my plate recently (including an internship and moving apartments, both of which are still on going), but also, I feel, because of the layout of the site. The previous design that I had did not focus on the actual content. I wanted a theme that featured all of the content I could deliver; to that end, I chose the Lounge 2 Theme by Devlounge. Welcome to J David Macor.com Version 5.1!
To me, this is the most exciting aspect of the design! I know it doesn’t seem like much, but I really like the way that I can feature or play down certain posts. To that end, there are both Noteworthy and Sidenote sections. Noteworthy will have my featured posts, the ones that you cannot miss! Sidenotes will be dedicated to both small personal tidbits or things like contests that I enter; that way, these Sidenotes won’t break the flow of the regular content.

Well, obviously the newest feature is the design itself, but that is not the only new bit around here! I have introduced a few new details to help you “consume” the site:
These I features that I plan on introducing in the coming months. This is very exciting stuff, people!
Well, that is all I have to say about this right now. I am very happy with how things have turned out so far. Why don’t you let me know what you think?
I LIKE IT!!!!!
Very nice choice !!! Hope your SEO didn’t fall down or something, see I changed once theme and things I was no.1 in search engine now I am 10th or so.
Thanks! I am also hoping that my SEO didn’t take a hit. I have done everything I can to ensure that my rankings don’t change too much.
After 3 minutes, I LOVE the new look!
Initially, I had thought that my bookmark was messed up; even hit the refresh
And here I was, getting ready to hum the old Tom Jones classic “Green Green grass of Home” to go with the ‘old’ look
Great job, J, and got me thinking about a more ‘monochrome’ look for my next revision.
Keep up the excellent work!
Cheers!
Lyle
Thank you very much, Lyle! I really was inspired to go in this direction by Derek Punsalan. He has a fantastic grid based, monochromatic theme. He even offers a simplified version of it as a free download too, so you could check that out as well.
Anyhow, thanks for the compliments and keep an eye out for some fresh content here!
I love the new look! This is fantastic! I might have to borrow some ideas from you!
What a great theme!
Good job with the renovatio! Hehe
Btw, did you receive my email regarding the RSS feed?
I never got that email Jaypee! Just try sending it again, I guess.
The new look is really great… I may have to follow suit…
