As my nifty little graphic implies, I am going to show you how to use Firefox and Google to rock out with some new tunes! If you have seen a post detailing how to use Google to search for mp3 files (I first saw it here), then you are already familiar with the technique. The only difference is that now, we are going to make a Firefox bookmark and be able to search for these files quickly, without that long string of gibberish.
Creating the Bookmark
- First, click on Bookmarks at the top of your browser, then click on Organize Bookmarks.
- Now click the button that says, New Bookmark… and you should see a dialog box like the one below.
- Fill it out as Follows:
Name: Music Download Search or whatever you want
Location: [Choose From one of these Locations]
Keyword: music
Description: Type a short description here.
- Now simply click Ok and your Bookmark is ready to go!
Find Music Faster
The beauty of Firefox and this bookmark is that there is a quick and easy way to search for things. Just type the keyword and what you are looking for into the address bar (artist name) and bam! Your results will pop up. It really couldn’t get any easier.
