This post is dedicated to my most desired achievements. Since changing the focus of this blog from web design and development to life success and development, I have decided to come up with a list of goals to aim for.
The point of this list is not to be some kind of nitpicky daily achievement type drible. This list only has the proverbial “big ones.” These are the things I want more than anything else. Now that I have graduated and am officially done with school I know that I really need to focus; this list of goals is my focus. Whatever I am doing, I want as much as possible to be working towards these goals. So in case you didn’t catch them on the front-page, here they are again:
They seem simple and a bit obvious, but the best way to truly be successful is to first visualize your goals. I will be keeping this list with me in my notebook wherever I am. I will constantly be aware of them and can reflect on them whenever I want.
What are your goals? How do you keep them fresh in your mind?
Nice to have you back David, and the change in focus is also quite invigorating! Great ambition and I wish you all the very best in achieving the same. Look forward to some great posts too.
Just keep it posted and you will see the results by yourself. Seeing your goals everytime have a subliminal effect of having it accomplished by you unconsciously.
Thanks to both of you! I am really just getting on my feet now and it will be quite the grueling adventure.
I’m a fairly new reader and I like the eclectic (don’t take that the wrong way) collection of posts. Sometimes, 100% web design or IT news makes my head hurt.
You’re right, Jamie. I kind of go through phases with my website perusing. I may want to read a bunch of design blogs one week, but then want to know how to invest another week.
The thing is, my blog is supposed to be more about the journey. I am not claiming to be an expert yet (other than for what my degree is in). I just hope seeing me make my mistakes will be at all helpful to readers.
Plus, I still plan on throwing in a few design things now and then
That is very good have your goals set. It is very important in our lives to Know what we want.
I have set a few goals for myself also.
Good luck!
I guess you won’t be a “young” parent, with big goals like that above have 2 kids
good goals though !
I appreciate you sharing your goals to readers. I have a somewhat similar set of goals. I got a boy already so one more to go. Hopefully, a girl next time.
good goals.
I think “Make $150k ” is the hardest thing
just my life goal… web design
I only have one main goal but it could be split into hundreds of smaller ones. Ultimatly it adds up to not having to work for someone else.
Thanks for the info
very good goals
Did you steal my list?
I was able to check off all but going to Italy. That is still in the plan. I want to wait till the kids get older so they can enjoy it to. Should add to the list go back to Italy after kids are out of the house.
JUst remember that sacrifice is always part of success.
Thank you
It looks like you achieved “Get a Job” goal. How are the others progressing?
Go, go, go!
Waiting new post on the blog!
Thanks to both of you! I am really just getting on my feet now too
Nice post, laying out your goals is definetly the first major step in achieving them.
Planning is always key
