This post is dedicated to my most desired achievements. Since changing the focus of this blog from web design and development to life success and development, I have decided to come up with a list of goals to aim for.
The point of this list is not to be some kind of nitpicky daily achievement type drible. This list only has the proverbial “big ones.” These are the things I want more than anything else. Now that I have graduated and am officially done with school I know that I really need to focus; this list of goals is my focus. Whatever I am doing, I want as much as possible to be working towards these goals. So in case you didn’t catch them on the front-page, here they are again:
- Get a job
- Love the job
- Make $150k+
- Live in Italy for 1 year
- Get married
- Have at least 2 kids
They seem simple and a bit obvious, but the best way to truly be successful is to first visualize your goals. I will be keeping this list with me in my notebook wherever I am. I will constantly be aware of them and can reflect on them whenever I want.
What are your goals? How do you keep them fresh in your mind?
I have a long way to making 150k a year let alone 50k but these are some great goals worth going for.
Do tell me how you are going to make $150k please as that sounds super
David, I am sure you are closer to your goals with that new job you landed. I wish you the best.
Some great life goals for everyone to set, I hope someday I can come close to those.
Have you set goals for yourself that you still wish to accomplish?
For me it is to paint in watercolor and this spring I will begin classes.
Anything that you still wish to do and is there a plan?
I started writing weekly goals for myself. Great post!
Great set of goals but be careful not to strive for them too much. If you do then you may miss out on other opportunities due to your focus on achieving your objectives.
Pre Order PSP Go
Making a list of your goals is the only way to see where you need to go.
good job
born, short life , ands another life.. long journey isnt it
I hope to be able to archive some of the same goals you have listed here.

You know, once you make $150K (goal #3), you will love your job and girls will come to you and ask for married. It will also cover your living in Italy. So you will only struggle for the last goal, make 2 kids.
Woman, Wealth, and Power.
Set your goal at a minimum level and you will enjoy the rest of your life.
Let it flow. I don’t set up goals of my life. I just enjoy it.
very good job
Well done!
Hi David

I agree that sacrifice is definitely a part of your success, well said olcay.
That is very good have your goals set.
These are pretty standard life goals. I like that you take the time to write down these goals and actively think about them. This will make it much easier to achieve those goals.

Best of luck in getting to your life goals david!
Your goals can be archived through hard work and determination.
My main goal is to make as much as possible so that my wedding reception in 2010 will be great. After that, the $150,000 per year goal seems like a good one.
My goal is to maybe start some serious youtube reporting. There is a lack of quality serious reporting there. Plus you can earn money doing it with their partnership program.

Many unsuccessful, often without clear objectives, or did not go to work for no struggle!
Don’t know if you are aware of it, but your site still lists you as a Financial Professional in Dallas – should you not change that to Houston?
