It has now been 3 weeks since I have been in Dallas looking for jobs. Up until just a couple of days ago, I was constantly striking out (reminds me of my single days). But now, someone has finally given me a shot! At least, sort of…

I don’t want to mention the name of the company yet, but it is a Dallas based financial firm. And so far, I have only gotten through their first filter of resumes. But I never would have gotten that far without my survival kit and a well timed follow up call.

Hopefully this job will work out, but if not, I have also applied to Best Buy…
